Dear Fellow Congregants,
It is with great pleasure (and a sigh of relief) that our search for a new Executive Director is over! Please welcome Luke Colaciello to the position effective August 2, 2021. You might already know Luke as a current member of CBE.
Throughout the interview process, Luke demonstrated the skill sets needed to be effective as the Executive Director. He answered our questions thoughtfully and thoroughly and has shown himself to be an effective business analyst as well as a compassionate steward of the congregation. Rather than us describing Luke as a person, we thought it best if Luke introduced himself to you:
“I am thrilled to be joining the CBE community in this new capacity! I have come to know Beth Evergreen as my spiritual home, and to have the opportunity to share my skills in service to our congregation is truly a blessing.
As I step into the Executive Director role, I am excited to bring my diverse professional background to supporting the mission of CBE in creating an innovative Jewish community. With formal training as a scientific researcher and informal training in the creative arts, I approach my work (and my life) with curiosity, compassion, and a dash of analytical rigor. Most recently, I was the Brand Manager of a small corporate company located in Golden where I planned and executed our marketing strategy, supported business development through proposal and award writing, and designed internal programming to cultivate company culture.
On a personal note, I love living in Colorado with my shepherd mix, Leo, and exploring the rich beauty of the mountains. I always make sure to find time to indulge my creative outlets and engage in opportunities for Tikkun Olam. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, uplifting the values of diversity and inclusion are an important part of my own personal mission.
Over the coming months, I look forward to meeting each of you and getting to know a little bit about your stories, as it is our individual stories that bring life to Congregation Beth Evergreen!”
Join us in welcoming Luke as our Executive Director! We know each of our members will enjoy their interactions with him, and give him every opportunity to succeed in his new endeavor.
Sincerely,
The Executive Director Search Committee
Laurie, Dan, Marilyn, Michael, Neshama, Alan and Rabbi Jamie
