A Huge THANK YOU, to all those who volunteered, baked, or shopped at this year’s Alternative Gift Fair. Your participation made the fair a great success.
Though smaller this year, we still had 1400 shoppers. The vendors were so appreciative for the opportunity and space to support their organizations. Below is a thank you from one of the Vendors.
My little non-profit garnered a little over $1,000 from sales for our school in Ecuador in the rainforest. This amount will save our school from closing our doors and help us to recover from our losses (financially) from Covid-19. It may not seem like a lot, but in Ecuador it will go far. The Achuar have suffered immeasurably with losses of their elders and all income from tourism. The sale of scarves and jewelry will help every family in the village as the women all give every effort towards their handicrafts and this is their only income.
