Softball has been one of our favorite community building activities. We field two teams - the Mensch Warmers and the Hebrew Nationals!

Let’s Play Ball!

“A man once told me to walk with the Lord. I’d rather walk with the bases loaded.” – Ken Singleton, former professional baseball player.

All kidding aside, I do like “walking with the bases loaded.” I enjoy the friendships made, the sense of community and being out on the ballfield with fellow congregants from CBE. It’s fun! So, I encourage you to sign up to play on one of CBE’s softball teams. We usually field two teams, the Hebrew Nationals and the Mensch Warmers.

We play 10 season games and one or two play-off games at the end of the season. Games are held on Thursday evenings starting at either 6:00 or 7:00 PM. However, some games may be held on Tuesday’s due to rain-outs or field scheduling.

The season starts on May 31st and ends on August 16th.

Practices are on Sundays from 10:00 AM to Noon and the first practice will be on Sunday May 20th at Evergreen Middle School.

The fee for the season is $50 per player and $30 for each additional family member. You must be at least 15 years old to play, and if you are under 18, a parent must be on the roster as well.

Steve Tarasar has graciously volunteered to serve as one of the team managers this season. I would be grateful to have one more person “step up to the plate” and serve as the other team manager.
